The January 2012 Dinner Meeting for the Florida West Coast Employees Benefits Council will be held on Wednesday, Januar 25, 2012. 

Our speaker is Michael Townsend  of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.  His topic will be "Politics and Policy:  An Update From Washington." 

About our Speaker

Mr. Townsend is Vice President for Legislative and Regulatory Affairs with Charles Schwab.  In this capacity, he handles a number of legislative issues, and is also responsible for development and implementation of the firm's public policy communications strategy.  Mr. Townsend analyzes legislative and regulatory proposals to determine how they would affect individual investors, retirement plan participants and investment advisers.  As an advocate for individual investors, he then develops and executes strategies to communicate their interest to lawmakers, the media, employees and clients.  He specializes in all tax issues, as well as retirement savings, charitable giving issues, market structure issues and financial literacy.

Dinner is included as part of your membership fee, but please feel free to invite one or more guests.  The guest fee is $40 each and can be paid 1) by check/cash at the meeting; 2) by PayPal under the Membership tab at www.fwcebc.org or 3) by a check mailed to:  Florida West Coast Employee Benefits Council, P.O.
